Commissioning Services

Prices below are labor only, (unless otherwise noted). Materials, sales tax, subcontract and a 1.50% environmental compliance charge are extra and will be applied accordingly. Work orders for commissioning and/or other services will be billed as work progresses and may be partially billed over several months time.

Check fluid levels, top off as necessary, inspect drive belts & hoses, start & run motor engine dockside, in test tank or on a flush attachment, check for satisfactory flow of cooling water, visually check gauges and verify normal gear shifting, throttle operation, steering and trim operational normal. Note: Does not assure normal operation underway.

Sea Trial (A sea trial is required if the engine had a reported performance issue. If none, optional, but recommended to ensure normal performance. During the sea trial, Rex personnel observe and record: temperatures, pressures, charging system operation, engine throttle response, shifting and steering.)

Tune Up / Preventative Maintenance (All prices below are per engine. Materials are additional. Remove and replace spark plugs and applicable ignition components. Includes full engine commissioning, per operations listed above. Replace IAC filter if applicable. Service air intake port / flame arrestor as applicable. Sea Trial recommended at additional cost.)

Sea Trials: A Sea Trial is only way to assure your boat performs normally coming out of storage. While we highly recommend post-storage sea trials for all boats, and they are mandatory following repair of a running issue, sea trails are otherwise optional. During the sea trial, Rex personnel observe and record: temperatures, pressures, charging system operation, engine throttle response, shifting and steering.
