Our Green Initiative

Rex Marine has taken the pledge to become a Certified CT Clean Marina. Part of this process includes recycling locations for employees and customers to properly dispose of the following items:

  • Plastics #1 – #7, Glass Bottles & Aluminum Cans
  • Paper & Cardboard
  • Waste Oil/Diesel & Oil/Diesel Filters
  • Waste Gas & Filters
  • Lead Acid Batteries
  • Household batteries (AA, AAA, D, etc.)
  • All metal (zincs, brass, iron, steel, etc.)
  • Aerosol Cans
  • Antifreeze
  • Shrink-wrap
  • Sparkplugs
  • Electronics & Wiring
  • Light bulbs
  • Expired Flares & Fire Extinguishers
  • Paint drying rack for brushes, rollers, paint cans, etc…

If you need to dispose of the items above please leave them next to the recycling shed for a Rex employee to dispose of properly. If there is an item you don’t know how to dispose of properly please ask Bill Gardella before tossing in a dumpster as some items are better left out of the waste stream.
